The Universe Within the Universe

Dear Friend,

There is a universe within the universe of perception. It is God itself, the spiritual universe of good without opposite. It is the whole of the infinite present at every point of itself at the same time. It is the entirety of oneness existing as every point of awareness simultaneously.

What we observe as person, thing, place and condition is our current perception or concept of God. It is our objective sense of that which is. Objective sense devoid of belief is innocent and impotent. It reports the true image and likeness of God at our current (and at any) level of awareness. But the moment we believe this or that about what we sense, we instantly blind ourselves to God and infuse our experience with pairs of opposites. As we live in belief we are unable to experience God, good. “Whatsoever ye bind on earth [believe as being real about sense and sensed things in themselves] ye bind in heaven [lock heaven out of sense].” (Matthew 18:18)

Despite belief and its appearing good and bad, the universe within the universe is fully present, visible and tangible but only sensed by the clear seeing of spiritual awareness. Wherever you look, there God is, visible and tangible as the fulfillment (true image and likeness) of whatever is sensed, but human or material awareness cannot see it. Only like sees like; only spiritual awareness sees the spiritual universe.

The universe of belief is nothing of its own self. Belief is not an entity, therefore does not have power, form, function, locality or ability. Belief is the hypnotized state and leaves us with a hopelessly poor translation or interpretation of that which is. As bad translation of a foreign language leaves us unable to understand what is being said, or worse, causes misunderstanding, so belief causes a sense of good vs. bad where, in actuality, only God is.

Poor translation is nothing of itself. A poor translation of Italian, leaving us believing that a waiter who asks “Would you like freshly baked bread?” is saying “Would you like yesterday's stale bread?” does not affect the fresh bread. The bread remains freshly baked and freely available; the misinterpretation leaves our experience lacking fresh bread. Only as we are able to interpret correctly are we open and receptive to the fresh bread. In the same way, only as we know the truth are we open, receptive, and able to witness its image and likeness as the "bread" of our experience.

All good already is and exists in its fullness right where we are, but belief blinds us to it. Even the best good belief on earth renders us spiritually blind.

As we believe our minds, bodies, and worlds to be realities in themselves God cannot help us. We can pray, meditate and sit in silence for an eternity but God would remain invisible to our sense. Belief forever clouds God from sense even though the full image and likeness stands all around us. We must be of God to see God's image and likeness.

I do not speak Italian, but what if you believe I do, and therefore believe my interpretation of an Italian story? Imagine what a mess you would experience. You’d know nothing of the true story and, worse, be left with gross misinterpretation. This is what happens when we read or hear truth through the hypnotism of belief. We believe truth applies to the personal self and its circumstances, then get busy attempting to bring truth to bear in and for the personal self and wonder why we fail. Only God is. Until we awaken sufficiently to realize this and then seek the kingdom of God instead of a kingdom of improved personal self, we fail in truth.

The moment an individual opens to the truth of truths freedom is close to being experienced. The Christ (Messiah or Savior) teaching is the world’s highest truth. Joel S. Goldsmith presents that truth to us throughout the Infinite Way, and the Miracle Self presents it to us today. I do not know of any other teaching on earth that is the highest truth of truths – that of evidenced oneness within and without. Just as the Infinite Way was not “Joel's” the Miracle Self is not “Paul's”. Joel and Paul could not voice such truth in a million years. The Christ message is heard through the transparency and receptivity of individual being, the nothingness of personal self, and it is just as clearly heard through the transparency and receptivity of impersonal you as it is through any.

Truth is principle – impersonal, omnipresent and unconditional (as is any principle). And like any principle (sunshine, aerodynamics or math, for instance), truth is as freely available to the tangible experience of any individual who awakens to it and is receptive.

Scores of wonderful teachings are available on earth. Each one is valid and demonstrable at its own level of awareness, and each paves the way for the next highest teaching. In the end, every person arrives at the Christ teaching because it alone enables the highest understanding and is the highest practice that leads to complete freedom in God – the ascension to pure spiritual being. “In the world ye have tribulation, but . . . I have overcome the world.”(John 16:33)

Spiritual discernment is needed to detect teachings that are less than pure oneness, less than “only God is” and “I and the Father are one”; less than incorporeality being the one pure truth of existence within and without. As soon as you have God and you have incorporeality and corporeality and are therefore not in the realm of Christ consciousness. Christ consciousness is manifest as form by realizing and living the practical life of the incorporeal alone. It is this consciousness that lights and supplies the world, that heals the thousands, feeds the multitudes, pacifies the storms, and comforts the poor in spiritual awareness. If we are out of Christ consciousness we are out of the infallibleness of God.

The only way to experience the God (fulfillment) of all is to be God consciousness as and for all. By being God as all, all reveals itself as God-like. Being God consciousness means being God awareness within and without, not being God within and matter without. God consciousness has nothing “else” in it, nothing separate, nothing different “out there”; it is the consciousness of the presence of God as all even as the objective sense of the universe. It is the living, practical awareness of the infinity and omnipresence of God that leaves no one and nothing to heal, nothing to prosper, nothing to harmonize, nothing to pacify, nothing to release. Certainly, in the presence of God consciousness the pictures of life heal, prosper, harmonize and pacify. The pictures are now of truth instead of belief, but truth itself has not changed.

God consciousness lived within and without is the one most practical way of life. God is the one reality – all that constitutes the finished kingdom. How can the finished kingdom be impractical? God is not impractical, but knowing this truth is not enough to evidence it in the world. The practicality of God is made evident as God is, not as the personal self wants it to be. God is practical as and to itself. If “we” believe we and our world are separate and different from God, God is nowhere to be found in our experience. However, living in and as the consciousness of what all is evidences its true image and likeness.

Nothing except God is practical because God is the only true experience. The true and practical life is the invariable, the infallible presence and experience of that which is true and invariably so.

Every principle is infallible as and to itself. The sun, gravity, math, aerodynamics are infallible as and to themselves. As the sun is what it is throughout its universe, light and heat are infallible because the universe is and is seen as nothing but the sun to the sun. The sun has only itself in it, therefore it is infallible “within and without.” Its expression, its being, its form, its activity, its visibility are infallible throughout the universe.

Imagine a sunbeam lost its awareness of oneness with the sun. Imagine it is hypnotized into believing that it is a personal self, separate and different from the sun. From this hypnotized state, the dawn sunbeam observes a dark world. It believes it is faced with a problem – a big one, one that it feels is a demand too great for it to meet. It is living a sense of separation and difference from the sun. It believes the dark needs to be healed so it looks up to the sun to perform the healing, and fails. It has not realized that dark is not an entity but is nothing but an absence of light. The only way it can witness the fullness of light is by being what light is – the sun.

No way exists for the principle of the sun to heal darkness. The sunbeam cannot separate itself in sense from the sun, observe a dark world of separated sense, and then attempt to heal the dark. The instant of separated sense is the instant of darkness – finiteness, personal sense of self, limit, lack, discord, disease. The separated sense is the darkness. The only way for the sunbeam to evidence its universal light is to wake up and realize I am and I have all that the sun is and has because I and the sun are one. The sunbeam has to be what the sun is in order to evidence its universe of light and heat.

The same is true of aerodynamics. Imagine that you are the universe of aerodynamics itself. Nothing other than omnipresence of aerodynamics exists in your universe. Wherever we may go in your universe, there is the fullness of you – aerodynamics fully existent, fully functional, fully visible at every point of the universe at the same time. Now imagine an airplane flies by and your attention is taken “out there,” to the airplane itself, and you become curious. You start to become interested in and attentive to the plane itself. You become so focused and absorbed in this distraction that it soon appears as if you are local aerodynamics, operating as and for the one airplane. What has just happened? You lost awareness of your infinity of self. You started believing that you are local, personal aerodynamics, that you are finite, temporal aerodynamics, existing for only the period of time the airplane keeps flying.

This is the account of Adam and Eve. Attention is drawn to the outer as a separate and different entity, and we fall out of God consciousness. From the moment our attention falls out of the center of spiritual being – out of the center of God, the wholeness, the infinity and omnipresence of God (the onlyness of God in which there is nothing whatsoever except God, without name or definition) – then we believe ourselves to be personal selves. We call this state human, mental, physical. We believe we are a personal, local, temporal human self, separate and different from God and we find that we have only that which we believe about ourselves and our worlds instead of the infinity, omnipresence and eternity of our true identity.

Our experience is now filled with what we have accepted of collective belief, both extremes of good and bad. We have both finiteness, lack, limit, temporality, sickness, injustice and immorality and their opposites. Our experience is a continual tug of war between the pairs of opposites. The entirety of existence is within, so if we look out from a perspective of belief our universe is filled with pictures of belief. We see and experience good and bad instead of God alone. We exist as a personal self instead of the infinity, omnipresence and eternality of being we truly are. Our belief-self lives only as long as the belief continues (a few decades at most) because all belief is temporal.

Now bring your awareness back into pure God. Forget about the personal sense of self. You do not have to keep it in mind. Our sense of self is not true. If we still believe that we are personal selves, if we are still attempting to preserve, prosper, pacify, harmonize, and find love for a personal sense of self, if we believe we need these outer things and qualities for a fulfilling life, we are firmly embroiled in outer sense and cannot find God. Drop the personal self. It does not need to be preserved, it of its own self is nothing. What it needs is to discover its truth, which brings it back to the center of God.

Let us bring ourselves back to the center of God without the personal sense and rest here in God as God for a moment, realizing that God is infallible in and as and to itself. Gently brush away any thought of otherness, any thought of you as you know yourself to be or any condition or amount, any circumstance, anything you believe you have to deal with at its own level – any name, definition, claim; any worldly thing or person that is trying to hold your attention; any circumstance that seems to demand your action. Gently let go of and brush it away.

Stay in God as God. Begin to feel, to perceive God as God is. Do not bring yourself into the equation. There is no need. In seeking the perception of God as God is, you are discovering the truth of yourself. You are opening the windows of sense to immediately see the truth of yourself, your entire mind, body, and world, so do not be concerned about leaving your sense of self behind.

In seeking to perceive God as God is – the infallibleness of God as God is – we guarantee the infallible experience of God as what quickly becomes our nameable, visible objective sense of God. Only never seek the things in themselves. God includes and is the infinite good of all sensed things. Seek God for itself alone, then you have and see all good things.

Seek God as God is, as itself, not as God is “as you” (or as me or as thing, amount, condition, place, or even the entire world). No such “otherness” exists in God. Seek God as God is, the infallibleness of God as God is, as itself and to itself. This is the great secret the Master gave us more than two thousand years ago. Seek the kingdom of God, then all these things, all the good of the world, automatic and infallibly opens in awareness. But make sure not to take thought for yourself or the good things and conditions of the world in themselves. Universal hypnotism has made you believe yourself to be human, to believe what seems to be. Nothing that seems to be is true. Take no thought for your life, for the health of your body, for things, for conditions, for the world, for your business, your family. Take no thought. Drop it all. Leave it all behind. Turn one hundred and eighty degrees away and walk in God. In doing so, all you leave behind is belief. You do not have to entertain or maintain or be concerned about your belief-self and world because none of it is reality. Reality exists here and now despite belief. In dropping and walking away from belief we discover reality. Reality is discovered as we seek God as God is. We – the personal self – are not in that equation and yet God consciousness is objectively sensed as the whole and healthy individual self, body and world.

God is the universe within and permeating the universe of perception. Perception is nothing of itself; God is everything. God is the fullness of itself at every point of the infinite at the same time. God is the finished kingdom of utter perfection, utter fulfillment of being, body and world. This is the only truth of being. And because God is individual being, forever whole and complete (the one being fully and unconditionally present and complete as individual being) this wholeness, this completeness, this perfection is the only reality of you here, now, and eternally. There is no other reality or truth. There is actually no other tangible experience but universal hypnotism (belief) acts as a cloudy, distorted window leaving us with a very poor translation or apprehension of reality. God – perfect good without otherness – appears to be both good and bad.

Drop belief; drop all appearance. Keep yourself detached from all that appears to be. Keep yourself filled with God awareness. Know that God is ever new, ever fresh. Keep moving beyond the last moment of awareness. Stay keenly open to the fresh manna of every moment. Isn’t it liberating to realize that we need not hold on to anything, not a thing, not even to the last sentence we just read or the last God thought we just had. We are free in and as God, therefore we are open to the fresh manna, the fresh voice, the fresh word which is itself the fresh form of experience, the indivisible oneness of life itself which, at our level of awareness, includes objective experience.

God itself is the kingdom of perfection – the finished kingdom of “the heavens and the earth and all the host of them.” All the host of them is every namable and describable form or aspect of experience – every thought, thing, place, activity, amount, condition; every sound, touch, color, fragrance; the universe and all it constitutes. And because God is individual being, the finished kingdom exists as you, me, and every person and all that exists in individual experience. Your very presence is God existing as individual and unique “you.” You and each individual have an individual sense of all that God is. You are and have the one life that God is, the one mind that God is, the one body that God is; the one thing, condition, place, amount, activity that God is; you are and have infinity, omnipresence, spirit, truth, love, life, fulfillment itself.

“I am come that you may have life [have vital, conscious awareness of God] and that you may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) I am come is the light of truth awakened in you. The awareness of your true identity is enlivened in you. You are stirring awake from the sleep of believing you and your world are separate and different from God, to the truth of God being all within and without. Even a grain of awakening is enough to start the flow of harmony in your experience. You are beginning to catch the truth that only God is, despite appearance; that God is right there within what appears to be, within the belief, as the fully formed and visible truth both within and without.

Actually, within is the wrong word. Is is a more accurate word. God is because God is infinity and omnipresence. Nothing of experience is separate or different from God no matter how we may name or define it.

What I mean by the “universe within the universe” is that Our perception of life is itself the form and quality of life we experience. The deeper, more spiritual our perception is, the more life, love, abundance, harmony and freedom we have as tangible experience. The universe within the universe is the recognition that all is infinite in love and purpose, quality and quantity, yet we can only see and have our level of perception of infinity.

All that exists is God, the finished kingdom of utter oneness, union, wholeness, life, love; the infinity and omnipresence of good. Where are infinity and omnipresence? Right here where you are now. It is consciousness which you can never be without. Consciousness is what you and your universe are. When we truly awaken to the reality that God is, literally, the only existence, the only form, the only experience and the only substance and presence of experience, and that God is consciousness, we realize that all that has appeared to be separate and different “out there” – all the good that appears as if it is not yet ours which in metaphysics we have gone to God to get, and failed – is forever one with us and inseparable from us.

No distance, no time, no space, no cause, no effect exists in consciousness. Only omnipresence is, and omnipresence means that the whole of God, the whole of all good, all truth is right here not only where we are but as the consciousness we are. And because nothing but truth exists, all “else” is belief (universal hypnotism).

Because only God is, nothing bad is actually happening anywhere in your mind, body or world (even though it may seem to be). All good, even human, worldly good, is this instant and forever right here where you are because existence is consciousness. Your consciousness is never apart from you, separate from you. Consciousness is the very essence, the very substance, the very existence, the very spirit and truth you are, within and without.

Until we awaken, we believe that we are conscious of a world of people, things and places “out there.” We believe our minds, thoughts, bodies, and everything of our world is out there, separate and different from not only God but from us too. None of this is true. All is God which is omnipresence. All is consciousness itself which is a constant and infallible state of is. Consciousness infallibly is and sees and has all that it is and has because there is nothing except consciousness exists. When we wake up to this truth, we realize that all that God is, all that infallible good is, is already right here where we are. It always has been right where we are, but we have not known it. “Know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Now that we know the truth we can rest. Rest in God as God; rest as God is.

Seek God as God Is

Seek God as God is, not as God seems (to world sense) to need to become for human fulfillment. Seek infinity and omnipresence as they themselves are. God is infallible as and to and for itself alone because nothing except God exists, no matter whether we sense it as within or without. Seek the presence, the feeling of God as God is. Be interested in, be aware of, and soak yourself in God as God is. God is utter fulfillment; God is individual being. In other words, God is utter fulfillment of being within and without, utter fulfillment of immediate experience.

Fulfillment already is. It is ours to freely know and bear witness to. God is the infinity of wholeness and complete. Nothing is unfulfilled, incomplete, missing an element of its wholeness. Your mind is not missing a single aspect of God mind, God awareness. Your body is not missing a single aspect or form of its utter health, vitality, youthfulness, energy, beauty, or eternality. It is impossible that any of God (fulfillment) can be separated from itself, divided, foreign, incomplete. God is one and omnipresent, infinite, indivisible, inseparable. Indeed, God is the fullness of consciousness being your consciousness. God is the utter fullness of itself as your body. God is the utter perfection, the finished kingdom of good, of wholeness, of balance, of satisfaction, of abundance, of joy, of purpose, of freedom, of every place and form of earth, every single grain, every fiber, every step, every sight, every sound, every taste, every touch, every condition, every amount. All is the fullness of God which is the finished kingdom of the whole of Itself present at and as each point of infinity at the same time – each point of your awareness at the same time.

Choose any single or multiple points of awareness and realize that each and every point of awareness is the fullness of God, completely and perfectly finished as all that it is and has – all that life is and has, all that infinity is and has, all that omnipresence is and has. This is the wholeness and completeness, the impossibility of any kind of separation or lack of the wholeness of each moment and form of experience. Everything is fulfilled because God is fulfillment, and God is all.

God is all. All is the finished kingdom (all that God is and has), but do not bring in names and definitions. Do not allow belief to enter the scene. Do not extend yourself from the center of God, the purity of God in which there is none other. Do not step out and believe person, thing, or condition to be entities unto themselves. The moment we do this we lose the entire God experience. So the secret is – the way of truth is – to stay in God as God is. Leave the rest up to God. You can, for God truly is the one already- and ever-present reality.

God (fulfillment) is the universe – the true universe of good without opposite, omnipresence without separated presence, eternity without temporality; with no variability or unreliability in it whatsoever; pure God, pure and unconditional good and the wholeness thereof. God is the formation of all, the truthful world and universe, the truthful you, mind and body. You never need be concerned, you never need take thought. Leave it all to God. God constitutes all that God is as everything you are and experience. You are God’s job, not your own; mind, body and world are God's presence, power, and visibility witnessed, not yours or mine to demonstrate.

Lift up into God and stay right there in and as the center of God. You do not have to perform magic tricks. Simply be still, and seek a feeling, a perception of the presence and activity of God within. Seek an understanding of truth, even if it is so small you may believe it is not enough. Again, this is just belief. It is always enough. The minute you touch the hem of God consciousness, you have all of God in your immediate experience.

Seek God, feel God, sense God as God is. And realize that God is everywhere present, the universe within which is forever available to your immediate apprehension. God (fulfillment) is the reality of what is perceived, and God is the utterly finished infinity of perfection, life, love, joy, boundlessness, and freedom at each point of Itself at the same time – you, me, every being at the same time, and every detail of experience at the same time.

Leave the personal sense of self behind. Leave humanity and materiality behind. Turn one hundred and eighty degrees away and come right into God as God is, and stay there. In so doing, you are lighting not only your truth but that of all people. You are making it possible to see people, things, places and activities as they truly are. But in order to see their truth we have to release our belief and attachment to what they seem to be. We have to leave all names and definitions behind. We have to leave all people, all conditions, all amounts, all places behind and lift up into to God as God is.

We are now prepared and free to do so. Unencumbered by all that seemed to be real, we are free and open in God to be filled with God light, God awareness; to clearly see and tangibly have all that God is and has, here and now.
