Question

You say in The Miracle Self that being SILENT is an hourly practice, each day and night. Does this mean I should be meditating (or being silent) every hour?

Answer

Yes, hourly silence, for even just a few minutes of turning within, contemplating an aspect of Spirit followed by a minute or so of silent receptivity, is the way to open consciousness beautifully, and witness the spiritual fruitage in every day life.

Devote just a few minutes each hour to BEING the Silent Self for Silence's sake, not "for" any reason the mind can know.

Then, on top of this, take three or four longer periods of contemplation and silence in each 24 hour period. I have not known it possible to have less than at least 2.5 hours of complete Silence in each 24 to reveal great harmony and fulfillment. We must LIVE the Silence as we live with breathing, not expect that by taking "a few short breaths" we can stay alive! LIVE Silence. Only THEN will you witness what the mind calls miracles in your life, and all about.

Use these longer periods to contemplate any aspect of Truth you wish to, then relax, stop thinking, stop trying to "know" anything at all about Spirit, and just BE the Silence.

Just sit in the complete stillness and silence of your Being, which IS the utter Wholeness of You. Just sit there, basking in It, not "knowing" anything, not "thinking" anything, not "desiring" any "result" at all. Just the Silence... the Silence... the Silence for the sake ONLY of the Silence Itself.

That Silence is the healing, the abundance, the life, the companionship, the love, the great and deep joys of Self. Let It flood you, saturate you, bathe you in Its "healing" Light and Love.

Then, hour by hour, day by day, you’ll feel your consciousness "opening", with the most wonderful fruitage revealing Itself right where you are, AS you, and AS everything everywhere in your experience.
