Hear (yesterday's Snippet) deeply. Belief is experience. It is the personal sense of being—which is itself belief—that gives us that which appears to be a real personal set of experiences or circumstances consisting of both good and bad.

We take our experience personally. We believe experience happens “to” or “for” or “against” us. We then attempt to deal with it personally.

A problem, whatever its name or nature, is not what it seems to be but is the personalizing of, or egoistic sense of, existence.

Indeed, the Master has called the personal self the selfish self—the self that looks out for itself but not all others, who seeks to gain the good and treasure of life for itself but not all others, who seeks the safety, security and fulfillment of the earth for itself but not all others.

But there is no personal self. Having a personal experience in God is impossible. There is only the one universal being, the one infinite I experiencing itself as infinite individual self.
