Even though a comment made towards us may have hurt, we do not react anymore than light reacts to dark. We judge not and react not, which includes giving no sign of reaction or dismay. Oh, how good the human being is at giving a sign! (I won’t say anything, but if you take a look at me you quickly see how unhappy I am!)
