Waiting for “the kingdom of God to come” is what we witness every day in nature. The orchard looks out at its world of branches, refusing to "help" or interfere with nature: “I refuse to get fruit from out there, from "others," and hang it on my branches to fulfill myself.”
Can you imagine the orchard going to other orchards, begging, borrowing or buying others’ fruit, and pinning that fruit on its own branches for self fulfillment?
