When I am tending my garden, let me give it one hundred percent attention. If I have something or someone else on my mind at the same time, or if I am texting or answering my phone at the same time, I am not giving any of these activities my full attention. Therefore, I am not giving God my full attention; I am not practicing the presence of God. Instead, I am practicing the presence of multiplicity, and because God is one, not multiplicity, I am keeping myself out of the conscious awareness, therefore experience, of the presence of truth.
