The first question we have to ask is, “Why, if God is all and God is good, is God absent from human experience?”

We may argue that God is “somewhat” evident, that there is some good in the world, even much good. But God is omnipresent; God cannot be partially present. Even “a lot” of good in the world leaves a remainder that is bad. No, God is either fully evident or fully absent in experience.

All “more” or “less” good is nothing but the pairs of opposites, but God is not a pair of any category of life, and God is certainly not merely the opposite of bad.
