He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall trust; his truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day, nor for the conspiracy that spreads in darkness;

“Darkness” is belief in matter being real. The “darkness” mentioned in scripture is simply the un-illumined awareness which exists on the “ground floor” or “basement.” It is belief in the corporeal or material appearance of life, in the corporeal or material sense as being reality.

nor for the pestilence that wastes at noonday.

“Pestilence” is the pain, the suffering, the experience of both good and bad false sense, belief.

The actual and only “pestilence” is belief. God is nowhere in belief, and God cannot “come to” it. We can pray and meditate for as long as we like to, but God cannot come to belief, nor can God come to us who are praying and meditating for a material result.

God is God alone, and exists only “where” God is—pure spirit, pure consciousness, pure incorporeality, not corporeality.
